Girls...it's finally HERE! Our community that's just for us.
You know the room. You've been in it.
Someone's crying about a guy who doesn't deserve the tears.
Someone's holding a stranger's hair back.
Someone's handing over a tampon like it's currency, because it is.
Someone's telling you your mascara's fine, babe, but also — leave him.
Ages blur. Nobody's performing. Everybody's real. That bathroom is where you share everything - especially the truth.
We built Hold My Drink Media Co. to live in that energy. The joy of being 21 colliding with the confidence of being 55. The lipgloss and the life advice. You come in strangers. You leave with a group chat .
This is a place for the stories women tell each other when the guys are still at the table. The bad dates and the better stories that come after them. The unfiltered ones.
The ones that are funny because they're true, and true because every woman in the room has lived some version of them.

I did something this week that I never really do — and honestly, I'm so glad I finally did it.
I've been following a photographer named Brooke Light for a while now. I'm drawn to her work and the way she's built her business around something really specific and meaningful. When I noticed she offers paid office hours, I decided to book a session. I went in hoping to find some clarity around photography and what my purpose is. What I walked away with was a lot more than that.
About Brooke Light
Brooke is a photographer who specializes in what she calls Moody Mini Sessions. Her work is built around a simple but meaningful premise: she photographs people — especially kids and teenagers — exactly as they are. Her subjects wear their own clothes, move in ways that feel natural to them, and she never asks anyone to smile. The results are honest and striking. Alongside her photography, she also offers courses for other photographers and one-on-one office hours, which is how I ended up in her world in a whole new way. follow her on instagram @bdlighted
What Came Out of Our Conversation
I went into the session wanting to figure out my passion and purpose in photography after stepping away from it professionally about a decade ago. Brooke listened really well, asked the right questions, and helped me see something I had been circling around for a while but couldn't quite land on.
"Kellie, you already have your purpose. You just needed a three-step plan for how to move it forward."
I'm already working on those three steps.
A Quote I Keep Coming Back To
There's a quote from Dana Spinola, the founder and CEO of Fabrique, that I've written down and returned to more times than I can count:
"What makes your heart beat, that is your passion. What makes your heart break, that is your purpose."
In this episode I share my passion and my purpose.
And as promised in the episode - Dana Spinola's book is: "love what you do."
What's Coming
I'm still working through the details, but I wanted to share what I do know. What's coming is tied to this podcast, to my photography, and to creating a real space for women to tell their stories. It's for women in their next chapter, whatever that looks like — and especially for those in the middle of a big life transition who are trying to find meaning in it.
More details are coming soon, and I promise I'm not trying to be cryptic. I just want to get it right before I share it.
If You're in a Transition Right Now
If you're going through a divorce, an empty nest, a job change, a loss, or any other major shift — I want you to know that there is purpose in your story. I'm not someone who believes everything happens for a reason, because honestly, a lot of hard things happen to really good people that are just unexplainable. But I do believe that everyone can find meaning in their life and in what they've been through. And if you have a space to share that story, it can change someone else's life.
Resources Mentioned
- Brooke Light — photographer and creator of Moody Mini Sessions (follow her on Instagram and her website)
- Dana Spinola — founder and CEO of Fabrique; author of "love what you do."
Stay tuned — there's a lot more to come. And as always, I'm cheering for you.

This is not my typical episode. Today I have been wildly ragey about what is going on in our country. So if you can't or are not up to joining me in feeling your heart break, then you may want to skip this episode.
But, if you are NOT okay and are struggling with what to do and how to help, stick around. I am sharing 9 things that we can all do today to help our families, our friends, our neighbors, our communities and our country.

Welcome to 2026! It's a new year, but time will tell how happy it will be. I'm not making any sudden moves and crossing all fingers and toes that she will be good to us.
Despite what we might be in for, I have chosen a word for this year that will set my intention - no matter what comes.
If you have a word for this year, I would love to hear it!
Cheers to not a dumpster fire of a year.
I love you guys.

This is a wild one. It takes me a little bit to land the plane, but thanks to Dolly Parton, my Uber driver and an emergency surgery, I figured out how I found out who I am and how I am doing it on purpose.
Hang with me 'til the end. It's a good one.
Love you guys.

In this episode, I share the conversation with my son that completely reframed how I see respect: it’s not something you earn from me—it’s yours to lose.
I open up about my own non-negotiables, and how setting the bar high has changed my life after divorce. If you’ve been struggling with boundaries or protecting your energy, this one’s for you.
Also - I remembered the episode about hard conversations (you'll know when you listen) and it's #37: "Be Curious, Not Judgemental". It's a good one!
Love you guys. I'm cheering for you.

Unleashing Your Kindness - The Four Layers That Change Everything
You guys, I just finished listening to an incredible podcast by Jefferson Fisher, and it got me thinking about kindness and all the different layers that exist.
My life philosophy has always been simple: just don't be an asshole. The flip side of that? Be kind.
But here's the thing—I think kindness has so many more layers than we realize, and I want to break down four of them that can completely change how you show up in the world.
Let's talk about it.

Hi friends.
I need your help. I need ALL of your tips and tricks and processes and plans for staying committed and consistent. I really wish I was one of those magical people who can keep a daily/weekly/monthly streak going for years. But I'm not. The longest I have ever gone was 10 days.
10 days.
That's ridiculous!
It's the number 2nd biggest thing I am terrible at.
Seriously, I need your help.
I love you guys. And I'm cheering for you.

A favorite line that I heard from one of my favorite Instagramers @josiebalka - "You are allowed more than one success story" - has been living in my head for several weeks now.
And I love that I heard it now, during the season where young people are heading off to start the big beautiful adventure of their new adult lives.
Let's talk about how we ALL are allowed more than one success story, no matter what age we are.
Love you guys. I'm cheering for you.
